Take A Bow Mackenzie

Here we have a community down on its knees suffering from the worst economic conditions that you could possibly see, and yet this past weekend they were able to stage one of the most successful BC winter games in history.

You didn’t need to ask more than two people to get a comment on just how well they were treated by the community. The events went off without a hitch and many of the people who volunteered did so in spite of the fact that they no longer even qualify for EI benefits.

It is a true testament to guts and courage of a community that while they have been taken to their knees has never given up.

You all should be very proud today , there very few amongst us who are able to say they have accomplished  what you in Mackenzie have done with what you were handed.

I’m Meisner and that’s one man’s opinion.

How do you like that Minister Finley, the laid off forestry workers are not quite as lazy as you think.Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
You can take away our jobs and take away our savings, but you can not take away our hearts and spirit.
