Prince George, B.C – The Human Resources department at Prince George City Hall is hoping it will be  four times lucky.
This is the 4th time the department has asked for money for a Leadership development program. Each previous request has been denied.
The $70 thousand dollar request   would be for workshops and training to groom those who might be replacements for staff who are retiring.
If approved, this enhancement would add  0.12% to the tax levy.
There are more than a dozen positions at City Hall that have not been filled because recruitment efforts have failed to find the right candidate or the right candidate decides against making a move to Prince George.
The enhancement request has been deferred to the budget meeting on the 23rd when it will be  reviewed along with the  other enhancement requests.

The Human Resources Department - the biggest waste of time and effort ever invented. If I were in HR these days, I'd be lying low - every last one of you useless leeches should be eliminated entirely.
"There are more than a dozen positions at City Hall that have not been filled"

How much does this safe or cost the City?
Just pick the meanest, uncaring, job cutter out there. No training required. And I agree with gamblor Hihg paid HR are just useless.
seems like the city is moving along just fine maybe those positions are redundent and do not need filling
Exactly downnotout! And as far as people retiring and no one to replace them....I say CRAP! There is always someone out there willing and ready to be paid by the tax payers.
