Prince Geore B.C. - The Air Quality Advisory for Prince George has been cancelled.

Dennis Fudge ,the Air Pollution Meteorologist with the Ministry of the Environment  says the forecast is for increasing clouds over night, "This should help in keeping particulates from building up overnight. However, there is a slight possibility of a few hours of elevated particulate levels later this evening, but those levels should not be as high as those in previous evenings."

Winds have not increased much in the bowl but they have at higher elevations this afternoon

Based on the air quality data, the high levels were mainly due to combustion emissions (smoke) and some contribution from road dust. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 34 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site at 3:00 pm and 12 µg/m3 at College Heights. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 32 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 29 µg/m3 at BCR and 27 µg/m3 at College Heights.

Well I had to go out tonight and I had to tell my sister not to light up for fear of blowing up. thats not road dust nor from a fire. Sick and tired of being thought of, STUPID.
Interesting math. Downtown plaza 400 rolling 24 hr average for PM 2.5 reading was 34ug/m3. Rolling average for PM 10 was 32ug/m3. The PM 10 includes the PM 2.5 total so how can the PM 10 total be less than the PM 2.5 total. Better check the instruments guys.
In any event, PG air quality is totally unacceptable.
Man, is that a perfect name for what these guys from MOE do? Lie on behalf of big industry under the guise of science. Next up the poor air quality will be caused by dryer lint and cat dander. Definitely can't be the pulp mills, concrete plants or refinery.

Dennis "FUDGE" indeed!!!
Sure did stink around here the last few days. Even had to get out of our office and flee the bowl area.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh,l love the smell of money. it means that there is bacon on the table for a lot families. I think if you don't like the smell, go back to Vancouver and work for eight bucks an hour.

We don't need you whinney babies up here. Go home to lotus land, and be happy.
My deepest appreciation to all of those PG citizens who stopped sweeping their sidewalks, thus reducing the road dust. Five of my neighbours stopped heating with wood and Presto, the air advisory was cancelled. All these years I figured the pollution was from industrial sources. Siily me. Just shows what I know.
"ahhhhhhhhhhhh,l love the smell of money"

and you'll love the feeling of oxygen going into your lungs as you carry the bottle pack around with you when you are 60, all at the expense of the Canadian Taxpayers, not the expense of the industry.

Good call, Gus. And if he isn't in near cardiac arrest from breathing all that crap, it will no doubt be from all that bacon he's eating!

What exactly is a "whinney baby", HeSpeaks? I thought that was a foal or a pony...
