They have been working up there since last summer. What the heck are they doing?
Moving the staff parking to make room for the new female wing.
FIX THE ROADS!
Those aren't drunk drivers on Ospika. They're just avoiding potholes.
How many more prisoners will the place hold after the upgrades?
It will fit no more to my understanding. The newer digs are to segregate the women from the male population.
Better containment facility for all concerned.
Corrections prime directive is public safety and this will do a lot better job since the Provincial womens centre was shut some years ago.
The price tag for the new jail was budgeted at $22 million. The finished price was close to $60 million. It's what happens when you turn architects and artsey oversite board loose with public funds.

The money could have built a containment to hold triple the current population of prisoners. It's whar happens when do-gooders want the do-badders to love them.

The city should lobby the Feds to build their planned new jail in PG instead of the Fraser delta area. The municipality doesn't want it down there.

Lots of room in PG to build a new jail and attach a golf course, swimming pool, library, incorporate huge glass windows, ceremonial areas, gymnasium, hockey rinks, private family areas and private sextrade rooms.

We know what criminals like in a prison.
Yama; so cynical! So true.
