Failure to File = Big Fat Fine

Prince George B.C.- Two candidates for the last municipal election are each facing a fine of $500 dollars for failing to file their election expense documents on time.
 
Dane Greenwell, the teen who ran for the Prince George Mayor’s chair, and Brad Gibbons who tried to win a seat on Prince George City Council, failed to meet the Monday 5 p.m. deadline for submitting their contribution/expense documents.
 
Under the Municipal election rules, a fine of $500 is to be imposed.
 
Prince George Chief Election Officer, Wendy Nordin says she would like to contact each of them privately to discuss the matter, but as of 4:30 yesterday had not yet connected with the two.
