Prince George, B.C.- A type of sheetrock drywall, made in China, has become the subject of a warning from the City of Prince George.

It is alleged the drywall contains hydrogen sulphide gas. There have been several lawsuits launched in the United States about the drywall after some homeowners reported a variety of health problems from nose bleeds to breathing difficulties and allergy like symptoms.

The head building inspector with the City of Prince George, Earnie Maleniza has now issued a warning about the product.  Although the local building supply companies, Home Depot, Home Hardware, Windsor Plywood, don’t sell this brand of drywall, he is urging anyone doing construction or home renovation to make sure they know where the drywall was made before buying it.

The suspect drywall is clearly marked Made in China.

There are reports of the drywall being widely used in the United States following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

The other day I was looking for a good water bottle and the majority of them said made in China. I put them back given how China seems to want to cut every corner possible to milk as much money out of any venture with no regard to health.
Are they sure it isn’t just powdered milk panels from China?
"Melamine-rock"?
I looked, my boots are "Made in China". The clothes I'm currently wearing are "Made in China", even my undershorts of all things. I thought they were "Fruit of the Loom", which were "union made" in the "U.S.A", but there it is, proudly stitched to the waist band "Made in China".

My computer is designed in California, but "Made in China". My ipod is the same.

There's one fantastic thing about all these items manufactured in China. Purchasing power has increased for the common person like myself, and thus has increased the level of my lifestyle, way more than my parents ever had. They were forced to buy overpriced products made either in some European country, or right here in North America.
Seems unreal that China is in real big finacial trouble right now when like Beesknees is saying they seem to make everything. Plus the American's owe them billions of dollars. Why would this be?
Maybe the shift we need to make is to see the 'overpriced' north american goods as 'appropriately priced' and the chinese stuff as overly cheap. As a frequent customer of Princess, Costco and Walmart I have given in to the temptation to buy a lot of stuff that I didnt need, just because it was such a good deal. We might be better off, from all stand points, to make do with less stuff that costs more.
Just having underpants, clean and made anywhere makes life worth living. Ya don't know what ya got until ya have to wash it, paint it or move it. We have overconsumed! Time for a Chinese diet of not buying.
