There will be some changes to the transit system.
Prince George Council has approved the elimination of Route 22, which ran between Spruceland and the Caledonia Mobile home park on North Nechako Road.
That Route had the lowest hourly ridership of any route in the city.
The residents of the area will still have bus service though, as Route 99, the Nechako school Special will be doubled from two to four trips a day.
Effective January 1st, there will be a new "Pro Pass" rate. Employees of companys supporting this new venture, can buy a "Pro Pass" through payroll deductions. It would cost $40 per month, which is a 20% saving over regular adult fares.
One of the businesses downtown has already expressed interest in this kind of program.
In January, Transit will start a pilot project on offering Sunday service to and from the University.
