Prinice George, BC.-  No  street sweeping, no  backyard burns,  there is an air quality advisory in effect. Industry is asked to reduce emissions wherever possible during the air quality advisory.
Based on the air quality data, the high levels are mainly due to road dust with some contribution from combustion emissions (smoke) this morning.

Calm winds and dry conditions over the region resulted in particulates accumulating in the air shed.

The advisory is not expected to last long as precipitation is expected this evening or later tonight. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 53 μg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown at 9:00 am, 33 μg/m3 at BCR and 15 μg/m3 at College Heights. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 6 μg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site and 4 μg/m3 at College Heights. This Air Quality Advisory is expected to be in effect until tomorrow morning or possibly early, with an update to be provided this afternoon at 4:30 pm

"Industry is asked to reduce emissions wherever possible during the air quality advisory".
Well this isn't working very well, maybe they should be told...
Yes, once again the air in PG is thick. The first few nice warm days in the spring and a person can't even go outside to enjoy it unless you want to cough up a lung. I like how the main culprits are always blamed on the road dust and smoke??!! SAY WHAT??
Move the pulp mills and industry on River Road.
How ironic that at the top of this site Initiatives Prince George is touting 5 reasons to bring your business to Prince George.
