Prince George, B.C.- The final expenditure documents have been filed by Prince George Mayoral candidate Dane Greenwell and Council candidate Brad Gibbons.
The two had failed to filed within the initial deadline (March 16th) and under the Municipal charter would be required to pay a $500 dollar fine.
Dane Greenwell, the 18 year old who was running for the Mayor’s chair, filed his papers on April 14th. He
declared he spent $641.90 on his campaign. Yet, when expenses listed on the detail sheet are added up, the total is just short of $1400.00. As far as contributions, the only contribution listed came from a company named “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Sign” in the amount of $600. Greenwell did not clarify the source for the balance of his expenses.
Council Candidate Brad Gibbons filed his papers on April 9th. He declared he spent $3221.20 and contributions totaled $4737.00
Of the contributions, the largest amounts came from CUPE, with the Burnaby office contributing $1500 and Local 873 contributing $ 750.00. The balance of contributions came from Gibbons himself.
