Prince George, B.C.- It is quite possible some names that have appeared previously on Regional District of Fraser Fort George ballots, will not be allowed to take part in the next election.
Five people who sought election (and failed) have failed to meet the April 15th Election Financing Disclosure Deadline. Their names will now be sent to the Inspector of Municipalities.
After review, it is possible those names will be added to a list that will be circulated to all municipal Chief Electoral officers and those officers will not be allowed to accept nomination papers from anyone on the list.
The candidates who failed to file are:
Denis Gendron, and Leif Jensen, who both sought the position of Director for Electoral Area A; Perry Slump, who made an effort to be the Director of Area D; and Bev Jones and Tony Meakings who ran for one of the available positions as a Commissioner for the Bear Lake Local Community.
