Campaign Stories = No Comments

We tried, but it didn't work.

During this election campaign, ( as was the case during the municipal ballot) there will be no comments allowed on election stories.

Here  are the reasons why:

1. First and foremost,  Opinion250 is legally responsible for offering equal time to each party.  This cannot be  done when  there is a possibiity of  one party or another "stacking" the comments.

2. We cannot  prevent the stacking of comments by  political party  members or supporters.

We hope you understand, and  are always welcome to comment on OTHER stories, however,  stick to the subject at hand, or the comments will be pulled.  Efforts  to link  regular news stories to the  election campaign, candidates or political parties will  result in the comment being  deleted.
