Prince George, B.C.-  Fire investigators are  trying to establish the cause of a  fire on the roof of the  PG Pulp Mill today.

Just after 10 this morning, Prince George Fire Rescue responded eighteen firefighters from three halls to assist Canfor's firefighting crews at the PG Pulp Mill.

On arrival, flames were visible on the roof, but crews from both agencies worked to quickly stop the fire spread. The effectiveness of firefighting operations limited the extent of the damage. Crews were on scene for nearly three hours checking for fire spread and extinguishing hot spots.

Mill operations remain un-effected.

No injuries are reported.

No estimate of damage is available at this time.

This is just another example of the reasons why fire is bad.

When will people realize that Gordon Campbell and the BC Liberals have failed us by failing to ban fire??
Yeah.........OK then.
Yea ---Bob Simpson in Quesnel today blamed the Premier for the swine flu if you can beleive that !!!!!
They should have killed three birds with one stone and banned pulp mills.
