One Suffers Smoke Inhilation In Upland Street Fire

Prince George, B.C.- A fire on Upland Street this morning left one person suffering with smoke inhilation .
Fire officials say they got the call around 10:00 this morning and responded to the home in the 2800 block of Upland Street. A total of sixteen firefighters from three halls arrived to find smoke coming from the basement suite.
The lone occupant at home at the time, escaped with minor smoke inhalation. She was treated on scene by ambulance personnel. No other injuries are reported. The fire, caused by an over-heated pot on the stove, was quickly extinguished.
Although smoke and heat damage are extensive to the kitchen area of the basement suite, no estimate of damage is available.
