Prince George, B.C.- It’s beginning to look a lot like …a bridge.
A crane put the last pre-fab cement form “base” in place on the new Cameron Street Bridge yesterday.
There is still lots of work to do though including :  a lot of cement to be poured, the round- about to be built,  the walls at either end to be constructed  and the final gap to be filled.
The bridge isn’t expected to be completed until August.

It's looking good, can hardly wait until it is opened.
Oh, and by the way everybody, make sure your horn is in working order for the GRAND OPENING, because you will need it when you go onto that "round-about" at the north end. I understand why they are putting this traffic circle in, makes perfect sense!

But can you imagine, PG drivers having to merge, and race around a traffic circle at the same time!! I hope they have cameras up for this occasion!! We will be known on "YOU TUBE" as "Stinky Town Clowns" on a traffic circle!! And then in a year or so, we will be dodging potholes!! Talk about multi-tasking!! Only in Prince George you say!
Few drivers know how to merge in this city, the round-about will be pure chaos.
Although I support the roundabout idea, I find that, sadly, I must agree with acrider. Too many morons on the roads.
Timmies in one hand, cell phone in the other, steering with elbows. Siganl lights broken, watch for sudden changes in direction, and unexplained braking.
metalman.
The one saving grace is that there is little traffic that uses this bridge.

With the exception of the rush hour 7 to 9 am, and 430 to 630 pm. there will be very little traffic on this bridge.

The City stated that once the bridge was completed they expected the traffic to rise from 8000 vehicles per day to 14000 vehicles per day. Wonder where the extra traffic is coming from????

Do you think they will do a traffic count to verify their predictions, or will they just forget about the whole mess, now that the money is spent, and go on to bigger and better things like the new police station, or the Performing Arts Centre.

Projects that never acheived their forcasts.

(1) Civic Centre
(2) CN Centre
(3) Art Centre
(4) Charles Jago Northern Sports Centre
(5) PG Airport Runway Expansion
(6) Horizen Air PG to Seattle Service
(7) PG, IPG, office in Vancouver to attract business to Prince George.

Im sure that I missed some, but you get my drift.
"Few drivers know how to merge in this city, the round-about will be pure chaos."

You think that's going to be a mess, I'm wondering how long before the first chip truck gets hung up on it.
