Its only the tip of the ice berg... these cash payments to our politicians are the norm. Ironic how it all seems to flow through the 'neocon' Rothchilds/Rockefeller financial entities... that is who our real government is and when we vote it is usually between their bought and owned candidates, whether the 'party candidates' realize it or not.
Now if only we had an inquiry into the BC Rail privatization before the election... and a political option in light of what would come to light.

I like his story. He only took the money after he left office; it had nothing to do with his earlier business with Schreiber. He took it as a retainer for work that he never performed, and only paid tax on it when the non-existent work was done. And he gave the money to his family. The crime allegations are garbage.
Makes sense to a moron.

I forgot to mention that we shelled out over $2,000,000 to pay Brian's legal bills when the Libs backed out of the case. And why the secrecy in the payment process, if it was legal?
The guy should be at least asked to pay back the $2,000,000 and the legal costs. He dealt with 100s of Schriebers and who knows how much he got in commissions.
People in other countries call these bribes and bribery.

Why would the Prime Minister of Canada take a job of consulting? Was his pay that bad that he had to moonlight? What does the Prime Minister have to pay for 'out of pocket'? Wouldn't consulting be a conflict of interest? Wouldn't that be illegal is my real question? Why is it no one has asked these questions? --- because the answer is 'greed'.

"I forgot to mention that we shelled out over $2,000,000 to pay Brian's legal bills when the Libs backed out of the case."
Actually, we were on the hook for all his legal bills PLUS the 2.1 million bucks to repair his damaged reputation, plus all the money paid to the gaggle of lawyers who represented the government.
Had his dealings with Schreiber been known at THAT time (only Brian & his friend Schreiber knew) the government would not have settled out of court. This was done because the RCMP could not come up with any incriminating evidence, like the stuff that surfaced only now.
One can hardly blame it on the Liberal government of that time.
The lawyers acting for the government advised that the only option was to settle out of court.
Brian smugly says that had he been asked any question in respect to the cash dealings with Schreiber he would have answered *truthfully.*
That of course is baloney because NO question was asked as the cash under the table thing was done in private between only two people.
He certainly pulled a good one on Schreiber and the whole country.

Definitely.
