Beaver FSR is graded to handle detoured traffic
Prince George, B.C.- It will be another day or two before repairs are complete at the Willow River Bridge.
“The bridge sustained some damage from ice, so there is intermittent pile driving going on to make repairs” says Jeff Knight of the Ministry of Transportation.
The work is taking place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. which means there will be a need to shut down bridge crossings while the pile driving is under way. “Traffic will be detoured to Bateman and the Beaver Forest Service Road” says Knight.
Even when the Willow River bridge is repaired, there will still be weight restrictions for vehicles “It will have a 10 tonne load limit” says Knight.
