Shelley Townsite to Get Bank Improvements

Prince George, B.C. - The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has received word it was successful in its grant application to the Provincial Flood Protection Program for funding on behalf of Shelley townsite residents to undertake approximately 320 metres of rock armouring to complete the bank armouring works initiated under the 2007 Flood Protection Program. .jpg)

The grant provides a maximum contribution of 90% of the total project cost, which is estimated at $1,038,430.
The remaining 10% will need to be funded locally. The Board has agreed to work with a local SteeringCommittee to explore what options might be available to find that remaining 10% of the project costs.
