Prince Rupert – Prince George has been named Host City for the 2011 BC Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting.

P.G. Chamber of Commerce President Albert Koehler was pleased, noting “This is a great honour and one that we have worked hard for. It is gratifying to have the opportunity to show 200+ top business leaders from throughout the entire province what Prince George has to offer. It is especially rewarding to be able to do this in 2011 as that will be our 100th Anniversary.”

The Prince George Chamber of Commerce is recognized as a leader in the province and is represented on the provincial board by long time District 11 Director and Past Prince George President, Lorne Calder. Past President Michael Kerr joins the board at the provincial level for the next 2 years as Director at large.

Other provincial chamber positions are held by Past President Garth Frizzell and IPG President and CEO Tim McEwan. Both Frizzell and McEwan sit on the Policy development committee.
