McLeese Lake, B.C.- Two people have died in a crash on highway 97 just south of McLeese Lake.

RCMP say two vehicles, a car and small pick up truck, collided on the highway around 11 km south of McLeese Lake before ten this morning. Investigators are waiting for the coroner to arrive on scene.

The deceased were the drivers of each vehicle and were the lone occupants.

In the meantime, highway 97 is open one lane to alternating traffic only.
