Could this description be any more vague?

Are we supposed to be on the lookout for a 5'11 man weighing 160lbs now? Surely this man must have some distinguished features, like fangs and a monocle.
we were told, they were heading north in a red "truck", after robbing the Mohawk on the Hart! Before that, the Mr. G's just past the jail was robbed, and prior to that, the Shell station in the south yard (BCR site) was robbed. What a nice city this is, NOT!!

The description we got, was a person with a dark "HOODY" in all cases. And finally, after they pulled off the armed robbery at the Mohawk on the Hart, we have a person with a dark hoody, leaving the area in a red "truck", heading north. Probably had a ball cap on to....lol!!

Sorry, but some of these description's of these crimanals, are so vague, that most of us would fit them!

The "Gangsters" were out in full force last night.

Be careful out there everybody, it is getting really nasty out here.

cheers,

In Quesnel, some of the 24 hour stores lock there doors at dark, and do transactions through a small space in an unbreakable window, no one enters the store.
We get the same wonderful descriptions !
It really is too bad that scum bags robbers exist (to pay scum bag dealers for drugs I assume) they drive up the cost of everything, from security to insurance to special measures such as locking vestibules. The latter is a good idea, but one that can easily be defeated if the scumbag has any brains oops, oxymoron.
metalman.
"What a nice city this is, NOT!!"

Those crooks are not going to cloud my mind and blame anything on this city!

Give them a long sentence, drag them out of their cells once a month and cane them, then put them back in again until the next caning time comes around!

That'll teach them!
How about the gas station attendant that apprehended a robber and then was fired.
This was on the news last week. It is no wonder we still have small time crime.

Vigilantism has been discouraged when the police were supposed to be protecting us. The police cannot protect us! They can barely catch and convict let alone be proactive and protect. Maybe if a few of these hoodlums simply "disappeared", fewer would be tempted. The profits and thrill outweigh possible consequences.
The bleeding hearts won't allow us to call a spade a spade. We can't clearly describe who it is that is robbing these businesses. If we dare name any particilar ethnic group, skin colour or race to describe a person, we are more likely to be arrested than the ones doing the crimes. We are to blame, because we have allowed things to get to this point. Shame on us. We have allowed the vocal minority to dictate policy. So, if we are not going to speak up, we might as well just shut up.
The guy needs to spend some time in jail obviously... that said I'd much rather he got his funds from a corner store then someones home or person... at least no one was hurt and some leads are generated towards bringing him to justice. To bad we didn't just have piggy banks downtown for this purpose with a camera watching... some people will do anything to get a dollar when they are starving, unemployed, and at the end of their rope with no social safety net designed to catch them... not an excuse but a reality. Some people have nobody to help them and get desperate and for those people we should make it easier for them to find their place to a good meal and a place to stay (ie jail).

IMO we should have a $100 bill behind a glass case located downtown with a camera and an alarm on it. It they get away no big deal, but if the RCMP have nothing better to do they can spend their time chasing the people that need to be chased. I'd view that as a public safety operation worth the investment and operating expense of tax payers.
Cut out the middle man (victims of crime) and everyone will be safer IMO.
