Prince George, B.C.- After a wet and cool end to June, it looks as though there will be summer afterall.

The three month seasonal forecast is calling for a warmer and drier than normal July, August and September.
While the forecast bodes well for those looking to enjoy summer vacations, the news is not so good for farmers who saw a late start to the season now coupled with the prediction the peak growing season will see less moisture than normal.
July in the Prince George region normally averages 63.5 mm of rain.    For August that average is 51.1 and 52.5 mm in September.

Interesting...they can tell us what is going to happen 3 months in advance but cant get the weather forcast for more three days ahead right? and we are supposed to believe this?
BCRacer, actually I find it usually accurate on the 48 hr forcast. its the two week which is constantly updated. But that is predicting the weather. A butterfly flaps its wing in South America and it changes the pattern. Thus one can only look at the forecast and take it with a grain of salt.
What I love is the way the Vanderhoof forecast and weather reporting is the same as Prince George.

The government gets around things by noting that the forcast and conditions are actually for the Prince George Airport, but show it on the web site as Vanderhoof.

If they do not want to measure and forcast for smaller communities they should only post for the actual places recorded.

I can assure you Vanderhoof's weather is not Prince George's.

I think the bureaucracy is the culprit; not the government.
