Backyard Sauna Goes Up in Flames

The Prince George Fire Department was called out early this morning to find a backyard sauna fully engulfed in flames in the 17-hundred block of 10th Avenue, near Winnipeg Street.
Fire officials says the homeowners had been sleeping inside the residence when they awoke to the sounds of the blaze.
The sauna was completely destroyed, but fire fighters were able to prevent it from making the leap to the home. No word yet on a damage estimate.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
