Prince George, B.C. - Prince George RCMP have made an arrest in connection with an assault earlier this week in the city.  Police say 27 year old Arthur Dale Culver is charged with aggravated assault and has been remanded in custody.

Mounties were called to Grama's Inn Monday night  shortly before midnight. Officers found a 21-year-old man unconscious at the scene with severe trauma to his head.

The victim was initially taken to Prince George Regional Hospital, but his condition became life-threatening and he was transported to Vancouver General Hospital.  Officials say the victim remains in hospital and is now in stable condition.

The Prince George Serious Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.  Anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact police or Crimestoppers.
