Local Silvaculture Firm Back in Court

The civil court case involving Silvaram Holdings Limitied has been adjourned in B.C. Supreme Court until later this month.
Visa Truck Rentals of Grande Prairie is seeking an order to petition Silvaram into bankruptcy, claiming its owed $390,438.08 for rentals.
The petition filed also says Silvaram Holdings owes a bank $568,801.00, a catering company $125,000.00, and approximately $150,000.00 in GST.
Visa Truck Rentals further claims Silvaram closed its foors on October 24th, with assets of $600,000.00.
Silvaram had silviculture operations in Prince George, Smithers, Dawson Creek and Stony Plain, Alberta. During peak periods, the company would have more than 400 employees working in B.C. and Alberta.
The matter will lbe back before the courts on December 19th for a chamber application.
