The Inaugural Session goes at the School District office of Ferry Avenue at 7pm
For the first time in a year, School District 57's Board of Trustees will be up to its full complement of seven after this evening's inaugural session.
The three incumbent trustees -- Bill Christie, Lyn Hall and Michelle Marelli -- will be sworn in along with four newly-elected trustees. Roxanne Ricard, Sharel Warrington, and Naomi Manning won their first terms in the November 19th election. Lois Boone is returning to the Board after more than a decade's absence.
Last January, Carlene Keddie resigned from her post as Trustee, citing work and family commitments. While John Rustad stepped down after winning his seat in the Legislature in last spring's provincial election. The remaining five Trustees assumed additional committee responsibilities, while waiting out the fall civic elections.
Trustees Patricia Wick-Thibault and Fred McLeod chose not to run again (see earlier story)...making way for this evening's swearing in of a Board full of new faces.
The ceremony goes at 7pm in the Boardroom at 2100 Ferry Avenue.
