Prince George, B.C. - For three straight Wednesdays, starting on the 12th, there will be a special workshop on recruiting and retaining employees.
The three session mini-series is free to all Prince George employers.
The first session is called “4 Generations in the Workplace”. There are signs the economic storm is ebbing. If it doesn’t already, your workforce will soon consist of a medley of Gen X, Gen Y, Baby Boomers, and “Veterans.” Explore ways to attract, recruit, retain, and satisfy this diverse group.
The following week, the theme is “Creative Retention”. It’s always a challenge to find ways to encourage your most valued employees to stay in Prince George and in your employ. Explore what others are doing to retain their skilled workers. This workshop will feature a variety of companies in Prince George who have been recognized for their successes.
The third and final workshop is set for the 26th and it will focus on “The Importance of Succession Planning”. What is succession planning and why is it important to you? And, how can and why should you fit succession planning initiatives into how you manage your organization? These and other pertinent questions will be answered. Information pertaining to local resources will also be presented.
All three sessions will be held at Esthers Inn. Each session starts at 7:30 a.m. and will wrap at 10:00 a.m.
Attendees will receive a full complementary breakfast, networking opportunity, and a presentation by local experts followed by a round table discussion.
Anyone interested in registering for the sessions is asked to contact the Prince George Chamber of Commerce (250-562-2454). While the sessions are free, seating is limited and registration is a must.
