Canada Takes Game One Of Tournament

Canada won its opening game at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Under-18 Hockey Tournament in the Czech Republic, edging Sweden 3-2.

Brett Connolly of the Prince George Cougars did not register a point for the winners.


Canada will play Switzerland Wednesday and the host Czech Republic Thursday. 

Prince George Cougars 2009 import draft pick, forward Jaroslav Vlach, plays for the Czechs.
