CF18 comes in for landing at Prince George Airport on Saturday afternoon, leaving everything else a blur.

Prince George, B.C.-  If you were driving anywhere near the Prince George Airport yesterday afternoon,  you might have heard what sounded like thunder around 2:00.

Nope, not thunder,  and if your car  started to shake you knew you only had to look up....... as  a CF18 was coming in for a quick visit and refuelling stop.

Captain Craig Sharp stopped in to have lunch with his folks.  Originally from Mackenzie, his family  moved to Prince George when he was about 10.

Always a thrill to see, and hear these jets,  and to  wish the best of  luck to it's pilot.

Another refueling customer. Lets see the big jets come in to refuel to use the runway to the full extent.
This is Canadian....they will stop...as for the yanks...well.....they may come if we offer free fuel!
Give me a break. He stopped here because his family was here. He probably didnt even need fuel.

expensive lunch ...
He must have a lot of pull to get the keys to the plane just to drop by fer a visit. I wonder if he had to pay for his own fuel use?
Wow, my insides were rattling as the jet flew over my house. Loud but impressive.

Totally freakin cool,
nice to see a local boy thats made good.
They keep a pretty tight leash on the flight plans for those guys. I'm sure they let him touch down on a point A to point B run that brought him close to PG.

I think for the yanks to stop you have to pay them money to take our free fuel. Thats how free trade works after all. And then they'd probably claim it was tainted and sue our country for millions in damage and stress.
SteveB the Yanks would probably claim our fuel is unfairly subsidized, and they would know, because the United States of America would never ever subsidize any sector of her economy. I would have to believe that Captain Sharp's flight plan was such that he was permitted to stop in on his way by, so to speak. I am sure that there is quite a cost for extra fuel anyway, but it could also be looked at as good P.R. I think it says a lot for our armed forces, kinda brings it home to see one of our own cruise in on military time.
