Prince George, B.C.- It has been over a month since a Prince George lawyer was attacked in broad daylight as he exited the Royal Bank building. While the victim recovers from his injuries, police continue their probe into the incident.
It was 7:00 p.m. on Sunday July 26th, when a lawyer, leaving the Royal Bank building on Victoria Street, was beaten (possibly with a golf club) by two males when he refused to hand over cash.
The incident sparked outrage and raised questions about personal security of any citizen near a bank machine.
RCMP spokesperson, Constable Gary Godwin, says the investigation is “very active” and they expect to have a “successful conclusion” to this case.
The suspects were described as aboriginal males, clean shaven and in their late 20’s or early 30’s. One had a short, almost crew cut type of hair cut. He was wearing a green sweat shirt and black pants. The second assailant had long hair parted in the middle, and was wearing a black t-shirt black pants and shoes.
The attack stopped when a man and his daughter pulled up to the curb.
