i thought it was the BLOC that supported the torys

Interesting that the Conservatives aren't soliciting anyone's support yet they are portrayed as being in bed together. I guess facts don't matter to some.

That cartoon reeks of Liberalism.

Surely these lowbrow cartoonist can come up with something that is at least a little bit funny.
This particular one is a spin off of NDP Layton asking Harper for a dance.
The fact of the matter is both the Bloc and the NDP are pissed at the Liberals for dumping the Coalition. Now when Ignatieff, the AWOL Canadian threatened to force an election they are going to keep the Government in power. Mainly for two reasons.
(1) They dont want an election at this time, because they are not ready and would probably lose seats.
(2) They can keep the Government in power as long as they choose, and this effectively puts Ignatieff, out of the picture, even if he is the leader of the opposition. He will have to keep his big mouth shut (if thats possible) now because he no longer can topple the Government.
In other words he hoisted himself on his own petard.
The sooner Ignatieff packs his bags and leaves Canadian politics, the better. Anyone who would vote for this poor subsitute for Icabod Crane should have their heads checked.

I've always been very suspicious and even hostile to the liberal party of Canada... I use to consider myself a reform supporter until that party and its ideals were dissolved. From what I have read and I understand... Ignatieff would make the best Prime Minister of Canada at this point. I trust him on foreign policy, where as I have absolutely no trust with the conservatives under Harper with foreign policy... I also think he would put forward a better more balanced economic policy than Harper will. On everything else domestic I don't see that much of a difference between the two despite all the talk. I think Ignatieff would have a better chance at success in reforming the Canadian Senate than Harper will and that factors in as well.
Harper has flip flopped on almost all of his major commitments he made to get to where he is today, so he has lost all his credibility as far as I see and I don't think anyone truly knows what he stands for anymore.
IMO Ontario goes liberal next time around, so our vote will be irrelevant once again if we elect two conservative MP's from our area. For the first time in decades the liberals should run a candidate against Dick Harris IMO... so we can hedge our choices.

DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY TRADITIONAL PARTY!
DO NOT VOTE LIBERAL!
DO NOT VOTE CONSERVATIVE!
FOR GOD'S SAKE DO NOT EVER VOTE NDP!
VOTE INDEPENDENT OR MARIJUANA PARTY (not for why you think)
A definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result. How many time do we have to tolerate any of these self serving incompetent liers?
Vote out every single member of each of the big three parties.
The party system is corrupt and encourages corrupt behaviors. not only that, but the majority sets the game. A house of commons filled with independents would have to work towards consensus and that can only happen for the best. No more block stalling by a minority party. No more toeing the party line. Either the proposed legislation works for all or it does not get passed (pushed through).
If we continue to vote parties into governance, we get what we deserve.

Eagleone. What foreign policy does Ignatieff have??? He hasnt been around long enough to even know where the Canadian Provinces are, let alone foreign Countries.
Seems to me he was a strong supporter of the Irag War and felt Canada shuld have joined the Americans to fight in Irag. Is this the foreign policy you are talking about.
When he makes an assine statement like ** I will bring Canada back to its rightful place on the World stage** is this the foreign policy you are talking about.
Being out of the Country and living in England and the USA for over 30 years makes Ignatieff Foreign, and that Im afraid is his policy.
