Cougars Get Split

Prince George, B.C. - The Cougars have gained a split in their home opener with a 2- 1 overtime win over the Spokane Chiefs. Alex Rodgers scored the winner on the power-play at 2:32 of overtime.
Rodgers and Marek Viedensky each had a goal and an assist. James Priestner made 35 saves as Spokane outshot the hosts 36-27 in front of 2552 fans.
The Cougars play Friday at Vancouver, the start of three road games in as many days.
