I hope she will recover without any lasting complications. No doubt both her and the daughter are extremely traumatized.

Give this career criminal a 30 year sentence which may keep him away from society for 10 years and that probably wouldn't get his attention either.

He also left the scene of the accident and that alone should get him an additional stiff sentence to be served AFTER the first one.

I doubt he will get thirty days.
Happened to come across the accident. What a mess. Guy should be executed for all these crimes.
Your right DPJ but ervboy is probably more right!
All the best to the victim.

Unfortunately, the creep that was driving will probably get a slap on the wrist and a fine for not wearing his seatbelt or something stupid like that. Oh wait, a slap on the wrist would be seen as too harsh by our judicial system.
30 days gimme a break the guy will serve at least 2 years or longer anyone who posts oter wise doesnt know anything about the courts.unless hes a youth he will be serving time.the only reason people get short sentences is because the police either beat on the guy in city cells so bad they want the case to disappear ( im not joking)..or they really dont have no evidence so there just happy to get any time served
Judging by the reported charges, do we need this person in society? It is hard to imagine a more anti social individual, theft, speeding, b & e, no d.l, hit and run, plus prior charges he apparently did not want to answer to, this is a classic case of throw the book at him. I am sure that our justice system will treat him with leniancy though, as no doubt he was abused as a child or some other excuse a pile of puke would try and hide behind.
metalman.

What a complete waste of skin.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

I think evil can triumph, when the laws, and justices of the land care more for the rights of criminals, than those who are the victims of crime.

Without repeat offenders, many judges, would be out of work, so it is only natural for them to ensure the criminals serve only minimal amounts of time, so that they can get out and reoffend. If is required for their job security.

Let’s not get started on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, every time someone obviously guilty gets to go free because of their charter rights, we must give thanks to the Liberals.

It is time that parole board and justices are held accountable when they release someone, as they have determined they are not a threat to society, and they reoffend.
The mother should be credited with saving the little girls life. The Daughter was in the back seat, not the front.

The guy who hit them walked away from the accident, its kinda too bad the group of people that were there didn't grab him, and tune him up a bit.
Jesse.... Git the rope, and meet me bye the old Oak tree at noon, theres gonna be a hangin'
It's the lawyers who use all the crap to save his butt. They are the guilty party to these crazy sentencing habits.
He will come up with a story... those kind always do... probably get a break for telling a story about his crack dealer or something and walk away a free man. Thats how the court system in PG works...the source of the revolving door problem IMO.
he'll serve 2 years less a day ....(Provincial time) unfourtunatly non of those crimes require FED time ...unless the assult with a weapon charge is bumped to attemped homicide

that said tho Provincial time is way harder than fed time
