Prince George – The Lethbridge Hurricanes scored 5 unanswered goals in the 2nd period and 3 more in the 3rd to sweep the weekend double-header with the Prince George Cougars . Lethbridge won 5-2 Friday scoring 4 times on the power play. The Hurricanes were 1/6 on the PP and the Cats were 0/6 on Saturday.

Cam Braes led the Canes with a hat trick as Lethbridge outshot the hosts 39-23. Michael Salmon was given his first start in goal for the Cats and  was hooked after allowing 6 goals on 26 shots in 40 minutes. Alex Rodgers and Tyler Halladay scored for the 2-and-5 Cougars, who play their next four on the road starting Friday in Kamloops and Saturday in Kelowna .

Cougars star forward Brett Connolly left the game early with an apparentundisclosed injury, however, initial reports indicate it's not serious.

Thats now 15 seasons of Brodsky ineptitude!
Time to fire the coach...must be his fault. (LOL)
The last time I said anything agains the Cats some fans tried to crucify me on line here but......
They have changed the coach,
they have changes the players...
they have changed the scouts....
and nothing seems to have changed....
so what is left to change?
the name, maybe?
the owners, maybe?
the home town, maybe?
Maybe if the press forgets about them, maybe?
It seems the more they change the more things stay the same...
what is the answer????

The answer is probably **change the town**

They have little or no fan support left in Prince George. The Friday nights game was 2147 of which a good bunch were corporate tickets, so they probably had less than 2000 people actually present. Dont know how many fans were there Saturday.

If it gets worse as the season progresses, then everyone Brodsky, City, etc; lose money.

Its time to move on. We can move out the Cougers, move in the S;pruce Kings, and leave the Coliseum for Public Skating, and minor hockey etc;

Once they are gone they will be forgotten within two weeks.
"We can move out the Cougers, move in the Spruce Kings"

Have the Spruce Kings brought in more than 1,000 yet this season?
This City can respect & support a good team.
When a lousy team like Lethbridge come in and slam Prince George to a pulp, its amazing that there are still 2000 fans supporting the team.

Its a Family Business and thats all it is. Thats the problem.
I agree with almost all of the previous comments and I did see the cougars, on the weekend, play the same as other cougar teams of previous years which was not good at all. The players play a role in this as well and we see consistently a team that does not know how to play 60 full minutes and if you are watching the coaches, they are as upset as the fans are. It is good to see other teams come here that do have future stars and it is a treat to watch them play even if it means the cougars are embarassed once again. Something has to be done though as it has been over a decade of failure since "the big run". I would hate to see the team leave Prince George because we will never get another WHL team here again.
After watching both games played on Friday and Saturday night it became apparent the Cougar players do not have the same hockey playing ability, i.e. skating and passing as the L.H. players. Can we blame the coach.....probably not. He has inherited a group of players obtained through the draft or traded for that just do not make the grade. Maybe Dean will have the ability to get a 120% effort from the players much like Don Hay does in VCR.
In watching the Hurricanes decimate the Cougars it is very hard to believe the L.H. club started the season with a 0 and 6 record.
It looks like it's going to be yet another long season.
