Cougars Acquire Cowan

Prince George, B.C.- Prince George Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson has announced  the acquisition of 20-year old forward Del Cowan. 

The Cougars claimed Cowan from the 20-year old waiver draft.

Cowan has played his entire Western Hockey League career in Brandon, breaking in with the Wheat Kings in the 2007-08 season. 

Cowan scored 12 goals and 22 points last season in 64 games and had two goals in seven games this season with the Wheat Kings.

There are rarely any comments on hockey headlines. I therefore assume there are not many people on this forum (myself included) interested in this topic. It's just a part of society that we have to report on and tolerate.
Ho Hum... Real good news would be.. Owner sells team. New owner, new front office. CN Place full to capacity and buzzin. Wouldn't that be nice. Come on Rick, make our dream come true.

...except when you're banging out the same old tune. If you don't like hockey, why do you bother to comment?
More on topic, I'm scratching my head at this one. Why would the Cougars pick up a relatively non-productive 20 year old when they already have four 20 year olds. Now they have to get rid of two.
