Pretty bad IMO when non Canadians can dictate to us what we can and can not do and say. Does our government not have any power against anyone on this planet? It looks like they dont when they do not stand up for the people who pay their wages. This is the olympic association who is bossing our government around for God sake. What next? If such a SMALL group can change our freedoms and rights then what will another country force on us? Scary indeed.

We may have the conviction that we can express publicly personal opinions about any subject as long as we don't slander or libel another person or a group of persons. Well, that is just an illusion.
In reality that has not been allowed for many years. Try it! Certain subjects are totally taboo and voicing a public opinion about them can have disastrous consequences.

What about BC? 60,000 civil filings in the BC supreme court; 25,000 by non-represented persons who lawyers refused to serve. Yet.........only 495 trials last year. What happens to all the filings? Government and connected parties, drag victims of tort feasance before court masters, who brow beat them to the point that they abandon causes. The Holocaust couldn't be redressed in this province's courts.
