I just do not understand where we are all heading with our rights and freedoms. Pretty bad IMO when non Canadians can dictate to us what we can and can not do and say. Does our government not have any power against anyone on this planet? It looks like they dont when they do not stand up for the people who pay their wages. This is the olympic association who is bossing our government around for God sake. What next? If such a SMALL group can change our freedoms and rights then what will another country force on us? Scary indeed.

The late George Carlin said if you want to see how much freedom you have just Wikipedia Japanese Americans 1942. Freedom is only what is written on a piece of paper, folks.

I don't know what the big indignation is all about.
We may have the conviction that we can express publicly personal opinions about any subject as long as we don't slander or libel another person or a group of persons. Well, that is just an illusion.
In reality that has not been allowed for many years. Try it! Certain subjects are totally taboo and voicing a public opinion about them can have disastrous consequences.
'Nuff said.

You can thank Trudeau for all the BS we suffer through now where the minority rules the majority and his spawn is just as bad.

A judge need only claim that applying a Charter rights would offend the community, to nullify law and fact. The CCRF is an instrument of government, for government.
See the horrendous details of the circumstances that caused a young Ontario girl to commit suicide in prison. Judges, cops, prosecutors and jailers have long seized impunity in this country.
What about BC? 60,000 civil filings in the BC supreme court; 25,000 by non-represented persons who lawyers refused to serve. Yet.........only 495 trials last year. What happens to all the filings? Government and connected parties, drag victims of tort feasance before court masters, who brow beat them to the point that they abandon causes. The Holocaust couldn't be redressed in this province's courts.
