Rescue Crews Head To George Evanoff Park For Cave Rescue

Prince George – A BC cave rescue team of the provincial Search and Rescue is enroute to Fang Mountain in the George Evanoff Provincial Park, of the McGregor Mountains.

The search crews are responding to a 9-1-1- beacon via satellite received by an operator in Texas.

That operator informed authorities that one of three men who had been on the mountain has fallen into a cave and has sustained serious life threatening injuries.

The report from Texas was received at 2.53 this afternoon.

Heading for the scene are Sartech from CFB Comox along with local emergency personnel, and the Provincial Cave rescue people.

Hope everything turns out for the better. Sure hope they don't scare all the caribou out of the area. We'd have to boot them off that mountain.
Exactly right ac. they should just leave them there, the caribou are going to be frightened. We can't have that can we? Besides the Grizzly bear need something to eat.
