PRINCE GEORGE - Plenary Health Prince George GP (Plenary Health) has been named as the preferred proponent to design, build, finance and maintain the new BC Cancer Agency Centre for the North in Prince George. The next stage in the competitive selection process is to begin negotiations with Plenary Health to reach a final project agreement.

Plenary Health is a team made up of:
* Plenary Group (Canada) Ltd.
* PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc.
* CEI Architecture Planning Interiors
* Johnson Controls Limited Partnership

The next stage in the competitive selection process is to conclude negotiations with Plenary Health - a process that is expected to culminate in a project agreement by late winter. Details about the agreement and fixed
project cost will be made public after the agreement has been finalized.

The Centre for the North is expected to be completed  in 2012. "Although we're not in a position yet to reveal the final design of the cancer centre, I'm encouraged that the private partner has responded to our
project objectives, and is using wood construction where practical," said Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Pat Bell.

The new cancer centre will be designed and built to achieve LEED Gold certification.

Currently, the BC Cancer Agency operates regional centres in Surrey, Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna and Abbotsford. When completed, the BC Cancer Agency Centre for the North will become the sixth regional cancer centre in
the province.

Looks like an excellent team to me. Hopefully the government will have a good team to work with them to ensure they will get the most from them.
Gus, I am in agreement with you. PCL has a lot of people they can draw on, if they run into trouble.
Thanks gus
