Prince George, B.C.- Remembrance Day services at the new Cenotaph in front of Prince George City Hall drew one of the largest crowds witnessed in recent years.
Although there were hundreds in attendance, one could hear a pin drop as the crowd observed a full two minutes of silence.
The family of Matthew McCully was the first to lay a wreath. Matthew was 25 when he died in Afghanistan in May of 2007. He was a Corporal with the Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters and Signals Squadron, Petawawa, Ontario.
Representatives of Peace Keepers, the Armed Forces, Veterans Affairs, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, the RCMP, Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments all followed in laying wreaths.
