Two Dead In Quesnel Area Crashes

Quesnel – To road deaths in the Quesnel area yesterday, both in separate accidents.
At 7.50 am. November 11th, an accident involving two mini vans resulted in the death of one of the drivers. A Minivan crossed highway 97 south  into the oncoming lane colliding with another van heading in the opposite direction.
 
The passenger in the dead man’s van was treated and released from hospital. The driver of the other van was taken to Prince George hospital with non life threatening injuries. Police say the vehicle that crossed the highway left Vancouver late the night before and driver fatigue is not being ruled out.
 
In the other accident,  a small vehicle attempted to pass a pick up on a solid line, on the Nazko highway at 3.30 Wednesday. The vehicle spun out of control and collided with a pick up coming in the other direction.
The driver of the small car was pronounced dead at the scene, a passenger in the vehicle suffered non life threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol and speed may have contributed to the cause of the accident.
