Chance to Comment on Regional District Parks Plan Closing Out

Prince George, B.C.- Residents in the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George have until this Saturday to share their thoughts and ideas about Regional Parks.

Residents are invited to give their feedback as part of the review of the Regional Parks Plan.

“We have provided a number of avenues for residents to participate,” says Petra Wildauer, General Manager of  Environmental Services with the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George. “It’s important that we hear from as many people as possible so we can be sure that we are managing our parks in a way that’s responsive to what the public  wants.”

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is hosting a number of open houses this week, where people are encouraged to come out and learn more about the parks and meet with Regional District staff and consultants who  are working on renewing the Regional Parks Plan.

Open houses are scheduled throughout the region this week, including:

Valemount -

 

Wednesday, November 18, 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the Caribou Grill

McBride

– Wednesday, November 18, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Evangelical Free Church Hall

Prince George

– Thursday, November 19, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Prince George Civic Centre

Mackenzie

In addition to the open houses, a survey has been posted on the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George website at  www.rdffg.bc.ca 

– Friday, November 20, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the Mackenzie Recreation Centre Conference Room Hard copies of the survey are also available at Libraries and municipal offices in the region. The survey is available online until November 21.
