Inner City Boxing Preps for Emerald Gloves Tourney

Prince George, B.C.- Boxing’s BC Emerald Gloves tournament will be hosted by the Inner City Boxing club of Prince George in March.The BC Emerald Gloves is the fifth Tournament in the “Road to Glory” tournament series.
Inner City Boxing in partnership with Boxing BC will bring the event to the Northern Sports Center at UNBC, March 13th and 14th, 2010.

The “Road to Glory” tournament series provide for all age groups and experience levels to compete. Up to 30 bouts are expected over the two days.
The Main Event Saturday night will feature four time Canadian Champion Kenny Lally (54 kg) taking on four time Canadian Champion Chris Plaitus (57 kg) from Montreal.
Lally and Plaitus have been team mates on Canada’s Junior National team in exchanges in Germany and England. Plaitus fights one weight class higher than Lally.
Inner City coach Bob Pegues is looking for an opponent for Jag Seehra for Sunday’s Main Event. Lally will take the Semi Main event on Sunday and box up to 132 lbs.
