I think it is time that we dumped the Monarchy. I am all for tradition old chap, but 2.57 million could have been spent on goods and services that would benefit the people paying the taxes.
Nice to have old Chas visit, but next time, let him pay his own way. No wonder he has such a rubber lipped smile.
Oh, and Chas' Mum is coming to visit the colonies ( Canader you know ) next year, rumour has it they estimate the cost to Canadian tax payers for that visit will be over 4 million loonies.

Hey, if they didn't spend it on Charle's visit the government would only piss it up against the wall for something like advertising to tell us what a good job the government is doing. Taxpayers have deep pockets, doncha know.
