Prince George,  B.C.- Time is running out  to have  your say on how you envision Prince George in the future.

The first phase of the myPG public engagement process will come to a close on January 14, 2010.  Information gathered at this stage will help form a shared community vision that will shape the future of Prince George.

“We encourage all Citizens to get involved if they have not already done so,” said City Councillor Garth Frizzell.”This engagement process is extremely vital to the development of a shared vision for our community.”

“Thank you to everyone that has shared their ideas for the future of Prince George, and I would ask everyone that has not yet participated to please take five minutes to be sure their voices are heard,” stated City Councillor Cameron Stolz.

Workshops will be held in February and March to develop strategies for moving to the next stage, which is developing  a shared  vision of the future created by the community. There will be a number of spaces in the workshops for community members who participated in the current phase of myPG. The strategies created in the workshops will be presented to the whole community, and will be open for public review and  input.

"Information gathered at this stage will help form a shared community vision..."

Shared by whom?

Do we get to vote on it to make sure that it is shared by the majority rather than pushed by the minority?

If not, then how about we create a City Council through a similar myCouncil process?
Roflmao Gus! Well said!
I think we need a lot more businesses like the PG Hotel, bought, and bulldozed tot he ground, and then lets start over ....maybe then people will want to go downtown,..... or not....
Start over? Tent City like they did in the old days. False front out of wood, tent behind.

Gotta love it!!!! .. :-)
