Prince George, B.C.- The Friends of the Pine Valley Golf Course will be making a presentation to Prince George City Council this evening. They are requesting the City maintain that golf course as part of the over all plan for the lands which include Pine Valley and the Prince George Golf and Curling Club property.
Also on the agenda for this evening’s regular meeting, a request that the City provide free transit service and a shuttle service from Spruceland and the Pine Centre Malls to the Torch celebration at Exhibition grounds on January 29th.
Council will receive a report on the merits of leasing or purchasing vehicles, and be asked to authorize a loan to purchase a new garbage truck.
Also on the agenda, an update on the “myPG” project. The public input session ended last week and the next steps in the process will be laid out for Council.
Council will also decide if requests by two councillors to be allowed to attend a meeting by phone will be allowed. The two councillors have to be out of town on business during budget discussions and request they be allowed to attend “electronically.”

You would figure that the request to be there electronically is a reasonable request, at this day and age.
