Over 50% of Team BC has been eliminated at the Elite Nationals. Thomas Speirs being the only BC winner to date. Speirs won a 9-7 decision over Ryan Walkowski of Manitoba in a close scoring match that never saw Speirs behind. Marcus Hume and Jag Seehra did not fare so well. Hume lost a close decision in the 141 lb division to Shawn Alphonso of Newfoundland 9-7 in a match where Hume outworked and outfought his opponent. Hume's boxing style was not rewarded on the computer scoring. Seehra lost his rematch with Canadian Champion Cam O'Connell in a tactical battle by a score of 18-3.  
 
Tomorrow sees the rest of Team BC in action.Tomorrow afternoon sees Thomas Spiers in his second match against Quebec boxer Cedric Langlois of Quebec. Langlois was the bronze medalist in the Quebec Provincial Championships.
