This is not funny. That helicopter that is hauling snow costs the tax payers $10,000.00 an hour! How many days has it been running now? How many more days will it be running? How many trucks hauling snow? Global news quoted $150,000.00 a day. Drivers behind these trucks say water is pouring out of the backs of them. British Columbians did not need the weather against them on top of it all. This is going to be the ruin of this province. Thank you to the Liberals, Vanoc and the IOC! Oh but I am Canadian and am suppose to conform. Government knows what is best for me. I should not speak my mind. All levels answer to every thing is raising the taxes. All three levels have no clue what the other is doing to us. Everyday I feel sicker and sicker. What hope do our children have for the future? I will be happy when the Olympics are over so that I can concentrate on the raising of the Carbon tax, HST and the new Global tax that is coming. Oh and then there is BC Hydro who promises that rates will double and even triple for some. Reason? The US demand! That is the Canadians resources and Canadians should have them at slightly higher than cost. IF THERE IS SOME LEFT OVER then sell it and a high profit. Look after CANADIANS first. I am sure that the colder communities up here in the north will be the tripled group. What happened to Canada? Why do we allow our governments to rape us? Who have we become? Slavery at its best! Shame on us for not at the very least, fighting for our childrens future!

It does not matter what party in running the province or country. The same out come would be played out because it is the people who bought and paid for the leaders that actually run things. It would have been cheaper to fly the athletes to Mackenzie and then bus them to Powder King for their events than fly all this fricken snow in

Having spent quite a few years traveling by helicopter for my job,I KNOW what they cost!
And it is a lot!
Most people wouldn't believe what they cost per hour.
The bill on this will be HUGE...probably beyond what anyone would have imagined!
And for what?
To create a second rate snow surface,(assuming it works)fortified with dry ice to keep it from melting?
The throw in a lot of trucks and drivers and it gets really crazy!
Obviously,Vanoc really doesn't give a damn about the athletes if they think it is acceptable for them to have to deal with a second rate snow surface.
