This year's Spruce Kings' Show home at 2638 Links Drive

Prince George, B.C. - Ticket Number: 2613. That was the lucky ticket pulled from 7,500 possibilities during last night's draw for the Prince George Spruce King's 28th Annual Show Home.

Lottery Manager, Jim Young, says Nadia Herold is the proud owner of the new residence in the Aberdeen Glen subdivision. Herold is a resident of Toms Lake, B.C., a small community just south of Dawson Creek.

Young says she was ecstatic when contacted by phone last night. Calls to Ms. Herold have not yet been returned, so no word on she whether to plans to make the move to Prince George or not.

Young says it was incredible to sell out all 7,500 tickets -- at $100 each -- in this tough economy. He says it's proof of strong support both in Prince George and around the province for the local hockey club.

The revenue contributes 75-percent of the club's operating capital and, Young says, without it, there would be no team.

Interest in finding out who had won after last night's draw was so strong, it crashed the Spruce Kings' website.

I think Jim deserves some credit too. He worked hard to sell all those tickets and deserves the credit.

damn...now I gotta unpack all that stuff and cancel the uhaul truck!
And the guy who sold me the ticket said it was the winner for sure!
But no matter...got a ticket on the $42 million and I KNOW for sure that one is the big winner!
