Non-Emergency Fire Phone Lines Down

Prince George, B.C. -  The Prince George Fire Rescue Department's non-emergency phone number will be out-of-service for a short time this morning.

The outage, from 5:30am - 7:00am, is due to routine maintenance of the City administration's phone systems.  The City's Communications Manager, Mike Davis, says the public is encouraged to phone 9-1-1 while the regular phone line is down, should they have any fire emergency or suspected emergency.

All of the City's administration lines and voicemail will be affected by the outage, as well.
