Quesnel patients needing lab tests, or outpatient services at GR Baker Hospital have a little extra time to get the work done. The Lab hurs have been extended by half an hour, opening at 6:30 in the morning and running till 6:00 at night Monday through Friday.
“We see this as a benefit to patients who need to have tests completed earlier so they can then get to their jobs on-time or go about their routine with less of an interruption,” said Health Services Administrator Fraser Bell. “The earlier opening will also be easier for people who have to fast for at least 12 hours before certain blood tests and exams.”
GR Baker Hospital’s outpatient laboratory provides service for people who are not hospitalized. The lab performs physician-ordered diagnostic tests for treating and monitoring health conditions.
