Prince George, B.C. -  Prince George RCMP say an autopsy conducted on the body of a 27-year-old city man found dead last week, has confirmed the victim died of gunshot wounds.

Police were called to the 18-hundred block of Hemlock Street early last Wednesday morning, after a resident reported seeing a body lying in a pool of blood in the snow.  RCMP Constable Gary Godwin had said at that time, it appeared the victim had been fatally shot.

Godwin says a pathologist has confirmed that Nathan Alcide Marshall did, in fact, die from gunshot wounds.  Police are not releasing how many times the victim had been shot, or the calibre of gun they believe was used.

Godwin does say the RCMP continue to actively investigate the city's first murder of the year, but there is nothing to report at this time.

wow...how much did that autopsy cost the tax payers to confirm that the bullet hole actually killed him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wavoes, can I reccommend that you tune into CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York or another crime show - wouldn't want to tell a jury that the cops THINK it was a gun shot or 3, but we don't know what caliber of gun or if he was running, sitting or standing but it looks like a bullet hole :)
